Removable palatal dentures are of two types: complete dentures and half dentures. Half prostheses consist of fastening elements on the basis of the prosthesis, which are fixed to the existing intact teeth. Full dentures are used in mouths with no teeth and are completely supported by the cheek muscles, tongue, chewing muscles and palate. In both cases, it is important to prepare customised prostheses that fit the jaw perfectly. Half dentures, on the other hand, are applied to people who have had most of their teeth extracted and are supported by the chewing muscles, tongue, cheek muscles and palate, as well as the existing teeth in the mouth with hooks or snap fasteners known as snap fasteners. In some cases, the jawbone melts too much and does not allow us to place the desired number of implants. In such cases, it is not possible for the patient to use completely fixed teeth on the implants. The palatal prosthesis that the patient needs to use can be held more firmly and securely in the mouth, In order for the patient to eat comfortably and continue his/her daily life without the fear that the prosthesis will accidentally come out of his/her mouth, fewer implants are placed in the jawbone so that the palate-shaped prostheses receive support from the implants and do not come out accidentally. In this way, the patient can use the palatal prosthesis as if using fixed porcelain teeth. In this type of implant-supported prosthesis, the prosthesis does not move in the mouth, does not fall and there is no need to use adhesive.
