Frequently Asked Questions

How long does invisible orthodontic treatment take?

The duration of invisible orthodontic treatment varies depending on the patient's individual needs and can take between 6 and 24 months.

Is invisible orthodontic treatment suitable for everyone?

Invisible aligners are generally suitable for teenagers and adults who have completed their physical development. This treatment is not recommended for children, as the aligners are custom-made to fit each patient's mouth, which makes them unsuitable for growing children.

Am I too old for this treatment?

There is no strict age limit for orthodontic treatments. Before beginning, we’ll conduct an assessment to determine how your oral structure will respond to the treatment.

Why should I see a dentist for teeth whitening when there are so many alternatives?

It’s true that there are various alternative teeth whitening methods. However, many of these—natural ones included—can harm the structure of your teeth. When it comes to cosmetic treatments, preserving dental health should be a priority. Teeth whitening performed under a dentist's supervision provides a brighter smile without compromising the health of your teeth.

How long does an in-office teeth whitening session take?

In-office teeth whitening usually requires two to three sessions, each lasting between 45 minutes to an hour.

How long will the effects of teeth whitening last?

To be honest, it depends on you. With regular brushing and by limiting tea, coffee, and tobacco use, the effects of teeth whitening can last up to 2–3 years.

Will teeth whitening work on veneers or bonding?

Unfortunately, no. Teeth whitening is only effective on natural teeth, and it does not impact the color of veneers or bonding.

Will I feel pain during the procedure?

No. Thanks to the local anesthesia administered during the procedure, you won't feel any pain.

How long does the laminate and veneer application take?

The duration of the procedure can vary depending on the structure of your teeth and the number of teeth being treated. The treatment process typically takes between 8 to 10 days.

Do I need to provide special care for porcelain laminates?

No. Regular brushing of your teeth and maintaining periodic dental check-ups is sufficient to protect your porcelain laminates.

What is the lifespan of porcelain laminates?

As long as you keep up with your dental care, you can use your porcelain laminates for up to 10 years.

Will I be able to see the color of the laminates before they are applied?

Yes. You will decide on the color and shape of the laminates together with your dentist before the procedure.

Can I eat and drink normally after the laminate is applied?

We recommend avoiding hard foods for a few weeks after the laminate is applied. After a few weeks, you can eat and drink as you wish.

Is there a chance that porcelain laminates can fall off? What should I do if one of my porcelain laminates falls off?

It is quite rare for porcelain laminates to fall off. If this happens, do not panic. Do not attempt to reattach the fallen laminate yourself; please contact us for assistance.

Can I eat and drink normally after the bonding procedure?

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of bonding is that you can eat and drink as you wish after the treatment. Sensitivity to hot or cold is quite rare afterward.

Do I need to provide special care for my teeth after bonding?

No. Regular brushing and maintaining your dental check-ups is sufficient.

Will it be noticeable that I have had bonding done on my teeth?

To be honest, this depends on you. If you regularly brush your teeth and avoid excessive tea, coffee, or tobacco use, the effects of the whitening treatment will last for 2 to 3 years without fading.

How long does bonding last?

This completely depends on you. While bonding materials are durable, they are not as strong as your natural teeth. Therefore, they can break when consuming hard foods. Additionally, bonding is not as stain-resistant as porcelain crowns (a link will be provided to the laminate & veneer page). Consequently, high consumption of tea, coffee, and tobacco can cause your bonded teeth to yellow faster than others.

What is the difference between All-on-Four and All-on-Six treatments?

Both treatment methods are quite similar. The main difference lies in the number of implants used: All-on-Four utilizes four implants, while All-on-Six uses six. The increased number of implants reduces the pressure on each implant, allowing for a more stable retention.

Will I feel pain during the All-on-Six procedure?

No. Local anesthesia will be administered during the treatment, so you won't feel any pain.

How long does the All-on-Six treatment take?

During the placement of All-on-Six implants, not all implants are placed at the same time. For our patients' comfort, the procedures are divided over two days for the upper and lower jaws. This allows the implant procedure to be completed within two hours.

Can the implants cause any allergies?

No. The implants we use are made from titanium and do not cause any pain or allergic reactions.

Will I feel pain after the treatment?

No. Thanks to the painkillers and antibiotics prescribed after the implant placement, you should not experience any pain following the treatment.

What happens after the implants integrate with the jawbone?

After the implants have integrated with the jawbone, porcelain crowns will be placed on top of the implants.

Will I be without teeth while waiting for the implants to integrate?

No. While waiting for the implants to integrate with your jawbone, you will continue your daily life with temporary dentures.

What is the success rate of the All-on-Six treatment?

Published studies have shown that the success rate of the All-on-Six treatment is around 98%.

Will I feel pain during the All-on-Four procedure?

No. Local anesthesia will be applied during the treatment, so you won't feel any pain.

How long does the All-on-Four treatment take?

To ensure our patients' comfort, All-on-Four implants are placed over two different days for the upper and lower jaws. The implant placement procedure is completed within two hours.

Can the implants cause any allergies?

How long will I have to wait after the implant is placed?

Typically, a waiting period of 3 to 6 months is sufficient for the implants to integrate with the jawbone.

Will I feel pain after the treatment?

No. Thanks to the painkillers and antibiotics prescribed after the implant placement, you should not experience any pain following the treatment.

What happens after the implants integrate with the jawbone?

Once the implants have integrated with the jawbone, porcelain crowns will be placed on top of the implants.

Will I be without teeth while waiting for the implants to integrate?

No. While waiting for the implants to integrate with your jawbone, you will continue your daily life with temporary dentures.

How long do zirconium crowns last?

Zirconium crowns generally last between 15 to 25 years. Their durability depends on the quality of the application and regular maintenance.

How should I care for zirconium crowns?

Zirconium crowns do not require special care. Brushing your teeth regularly and having an annual dental cleaning will help maintain them in good condition.

Which teeth are suitable for zirconium crowns?

  • Teeth with shape irregularities that cannot be corrected with clear aligners
  • Gaps between teeth

How durable are E-Max crowns?

E-Max crowns, made from lithium disilicate, are highly durable. This strength allows them to be used anywhere in the mouth for single-tooth restorations. For multiple teeth, they are best suited for areas that don’t endure high chewing pressure.

What is the lifespan of an E-Max crown?

With proper oral care, E-Max crowns typically last around 10 years.

How should I care for E-Max crowns?

E-Max crowns do not require special maintenance. Regular brushing and routine dental check-ups are sufficient to keep them in excellent condition.

Can E-Max crowns be whitened later?

Habits like heavy coffee, tea, or tobacco use can discolor teeth over time. While natural teeth can be whitened, whitening has no effect on E-Max crowns. If discoloration occurs, replacing the crown may be necessary.
